By Eva Kaan – Asian food, I love it. And as all of my friends know this, I don’t understand why no one told me about the existence of Woo Bros before (shame on you!). So here I’m telling you: feel like Asian food? Go to Woo Bros!
Vanessa (a.k.a. Culinessa) and I agreed to meet at Woo Bros on a Wednesday. She was a bit late, so I took a quick look at the menu and soon texted her “HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!”. I wanted to try everything on the menu. Everything.
Of course we didn’t try everything, but we did try a lot. Soft shell crab roll (heavenly!), classic peking duck with pancakes, sate kambing, 1/2 cantonese lobster prepared with garlic, ginger and scallions, grilled oysters with black bean sauce, steamed scallops, Thai red curry with chicken and lychee (yummie) and sweet Thai green pepper beef (my favorite!).
We liked the soft shell crab roll so much that we even considered ordering it again as a dessert, but as two moms having late night dinner, we again decided to be wise and just order a tea.
Woo Bros – you did a great job! Handling a full restaurant with only 2 waiters was a work of art and we could both see that all the guests were still treated as you expect at a high quality restaurant. Thank you and see you soon!
