By Yvonne van Vugt – It is already autumn, but I saw them in store between the other fruits… Strawberries. These fresh fruits are delicious, but I actually thought that they were real summer-fruits. They are also called “the kings of summer-fruits”. Do you know why strawberries are really healthy?
When you eat 500 grams of strawberries a day, your cholesterol level will lower. Also your blood levels will show us high amount of vitamin C. This vitamin is very important for a good health. Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant and protects our body against cardiovascular diseases. So, eat more strawberries for a good health, also in winter.

Three ideas to eat your daily dose of strawberries.
Strawberrysmoothie (for breakfast): Mix in a food processor strawberries, blue berries, banana and coconutmilk.
Green salad with strawberries (lunch): Combine spinach, onion, roast beef, walnuts and strawberries in a bowl. Sprinkle with a dressing ofolive oil and lemonjuice
Fruitsalad (dessert): Make a salad of strawberries, blueberries, peach and melon. Spread with grated coconut and almonds.
