Since forever my parents have been ordering pizza at Trattoria Fantasia. I inherited that habit and I’m proud to say I’m a satisfied costumer for over 20 years now.
Before last Tuesday, the 1st of April, I never actually went to Fantasia’s restaurant. It’s located near the Leidseplein, across the De La Mar theatre, on Marnixstraat 417. Going there made me an even more satisfied costumer than before, and it was clear I am not the only one.
When we arrived at the restaurant at 21:00, the only other guests sitting there were a couple of ladies. They were clearly enjoying themselves, telling each other jokes and drinking wine. We started talking and it turned out that these ladies were coming here already for a long time, every month on their ‘movie night’ which meant a real girls night out. Fun to see that I’m not the only pizza-loving lady who keeps coming back to the same place.
I’ve been told Fantasia recently updated their interior to something more modern, and I like the result. Clean and tidy, how a trattoria should be. Nothing too fancy, but a nice place to have a terrific pizza or pasta for a reasonable price. Also the red house wine is highly recommended. The reason why I really love pizzas of Fantasia is because of their crunchy pizza crust which is baked exactly the right way for my taste. Not too soft, not too thick or greasy.
Long story short: reason why I’m sharing this with you is that I know it’s hard to find the best pizza in town, but search no longer and either to go Fantasia or order with them via 020-6385665 or go to their website.
(And if you know the perfect sushi place, let me know as I’m still looking for it!)
